Visual narrative

ALIEN is a 9-page comic that tells the story of a lone astronaut and their struggle with their personal identity. Drawing from my personal experiences of alienation and isolation from my peers as a queer person, I wanted to tell a story of finding hope and acceptance even in the most astronomical places.

This comic was created during the 2025 Toolkits: Graphic Narratives program and featured in the soon-to-be published Time & Space anthology by Glom Press.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF COUNTRY

I acknowledge the Dharug and Gundungurra People as the Traditional Custodians of the land on which I live, work and play, and pay my respects to Elders past and present. I honour First Nations People as the first artists, designers and storytellers, who have cultivated art, culture and storytelling across this continent since time immemorial. I recognise that sovereignty was never ceded, and this always was, always will be, Aboriginal Land.
